He discovers he is really not a Woodtroll and sets out to find his way in the world. He does what Woodtrolls are not supposed to do and strays from the path. He meets many creatures good and bad along his journey. There are Woodtrolls, Caterbids, Gloamglozers, Sky Pirates and more.
The illustrations in the book bring the characters to life and add an enjoyable touch to reading the Edge books.

In Inkspell, a 635 page sequel to Inkheart, Maggie reads herself and Farid into Inkheart . She finds her mother, father and Dustfinger but then the story begins to change on its own. There is some violence and language problems. This book is for older readers and will be on special permission.
