This book written as fiction tells the true story of Suzanne David Hall, a young girl who spied for the French Resistance during WWII. suzanne is thirteen years old when the Nazis take over her town and drive her and her family out of their house. suzanne and her family cope the best they can. She continues her sining lessons and begins to sing in operas. The local doctor takes note that she moves around the city and asks her to become spy number 22. This is a good historical fiction read for older students. There is one graphic scene at the beginning of the book when Madame Montagne is killed by a bomb.
